Hello and welcome to the Fleur and Lumiere! I’m Mira, the proud owner of this plant nursery, and I’m thrilled to share with you the story behind our name and the mission that drives our passion for plants.
The Meaning Behind Fleur and Lumiere Fleur and Lumiere combines two beautiful French words: "Fleur," which means "flower," and "Lumiere," which translates to "light." This name is not just a nod to my 30% French heritage, but it embodies the essence of our nursery. Just as flowers bloom under the warmth of sunlight, we believe that nurturing plants can bring light into our lives and foster a sense of peace and well-being.
A Journey of Passion and Education My journey into horticulture has been a long and fulfilling one. With a strong background in education, I’ve always found joy in teaching and inspiring others. Yet, my love for plants has always lingered in the background, waiting for its moment to bloom. Recently, I made the exciting decision to switch paths and earn my certification in horticulture, allowing me to pursue my passion wholeheartedly. Fleur and Lumiere is the culmination of that journey—a nursery that not only nurtures plants but encourages healing and connection with nature.
